Forward Controls Design PF-040 AR-15 take down pins with dimples provide extra grasping surface and smoother handling versus standard TDP-length pins. Machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished with QPQ treatment, these pivot and take down pins are “reverse extended,” adding +0.040 length on the left-to-right install side in a way that does not interfere with ambidextrous safety operation. The left pin includes a small dimple for easier actuation, while the right-side head is flat with a chamfered edge for comfortable thumb contact.
