Brownells Tactical Scope Base Conversion Kit helps you secure heavy tactical scopes, rings, and bases by converting a rifle’s 6-48 scope base screw pattern to the stronger 8-40 thread size. The kit includes the screws, drilling and tapping tools, and the counterbore needed to complete the conversion.

- Converts 6-48 mount screws to stronger 8-40 threads for more secure optic mounting
- Includes 8-40 x 1/4 inch and 8-40 x 3/8 inch hex or Torx head screws
- Comes with #19S and #28S high speed steel drill bits
- Includes taper tap and bottom tap for complete thread formation
- Includes one Fillister counterbore and a Screw Gizzie for easier assembly
