Buds is my gun source...
Buds is my gun source from now on! This pistol was a steal. good fit and finish, has novac sights right out of the box and shoots like a champ! I would have to say this is the best deal i have gotten on a handgun ever. It showed up at my ffl guy quickly and I have been happy ever since! I have owned several taurus and they are a good gun (except the millenium i traded off as fast as i could) and i have had guns i paid a lot more for and didnt perform as well. THANKS BUDS!!!!!

Couldn't be more happy...
Couldn't be more happy with this pistol! I wanted to wait until I had put at least 500+ rounds through it before I gave my two cents worth here. Since I first got it out of the box, I have had nothing but success with it. Not a single FTF, FTE, Failure to go into Battery...nothing! The sights were seriously loose when the pistol arrived though; making the gun useless and unsafe to shoot, but a trip down the street to the local shop fixed that right up. The front balde sight is the tallest I have ever seen on any pistol..not sure whats that's all about, but hey, whatever. I would recomend swapping out the factory sights for Novacs or something a little more practical. The magazine release is easy to access and nicely located, but needs to be depressed almost completely flush to the grip to eject the mag. I'm not sure if this is normal for this pistol or not, but it does make for fast re-loading very difficult. Assembly and dis-assembly is extremely easy with very few parts. I estimate I can completely field strip and re-assemble this pistol in under 45 sec. The internal key safety is an awsome feature for long-term storage and house with small, curious children living in them. The retaining pin that locks the slide to the frame is easy to manipulate, but I often wonder how sturdy it is given its size and location.....No issue with it yet, but I would expct some day maybe 2,500 rounds plus it may break. Mine shows significant wear after 500+. The gun (and myself) seems to like the 150 and 155 gr. ammo a little better than the heavy 180's, but there is little noticable difference in recoil since this gun is so dang big and heavy. My groups were a little smaller with the lighter rounds. I have shot everything from WWB, Honady, Speer, Remington, Federal, etc. in all weights and makes, and it functioned flawlessly. I have no had a single negative experience relating to the gun itself, however the magazines in my opinion aren't greatest quality. even after a proper "breaking in" period and regular moderate/heavy use, the spring in these mags do not compress evenly when loaded with more than 10 rounds....you can hear rounds actually rattling around in there, so I know they arent seated properly. I have this same issue with all five magazines (the weappon came with two from Buds). If you load all 15, it may sound like a maracca or a tamberine! (I usually leave mine with 11 in them....only slight noise. Lastly, this gun is huge......not at all a CCW or daily carry, but it would be great for Gov Operators, Police Depts., etc. who are allowed to carry their personal weapons for duty. There are many holster options available for this pistol, as well as accessories to boot, so you wont have any trouble finding the extras. Good luck with this pistol, and congrats when you buy! You should love it as much as I do!
