This is my first time...
This is my first time buying a gun from buds. I will tell my experience as detail as possible. 1 Shipping I ordered the gun on 4/23/2011 which is Saturday around 7:00 p.m. I got an email they said that they will ship my gun within 3-7 days, which is ok because I was expecting around a week too. So anyway on Monday the following week I checked my order status, I still haven't seen my tracking # yet, I was thinking maybe hey need a little time to get my gun from the warehouse, so I didn't think it was a big deal. On Tuesday around 4:00 p.m. I checked my order status again and it said that my gun is already shipped, I was like no way it cant be, so I called my ffl dealer and they said they have it. I couldn't believe how fast that shipping was, I got my gun less than 2 business days. (5 stars) 2 Product Ok, I have been looking for m500 for a while now, I did a few research for it and It looks like only buds still has it and I was surprise that they have this gun, because this gun is already discontinued a while ago, and its factory brand new, I couldn't be more happier than that. So anyway, I went to the dealer and they bring me the gun with the box, and when I looked at it Im very disappointed. 1st The box that comes with it is way worse then my 5 years old shoe box, I mean the box is dirty, is ripped everywhere, its bent, its horrible. 2nd Like James N said last year on the reviewed the gun is filthy, it got some minor scratch on the right hand side of the barrel, it got long scratch on the wheel, the ported barrel is dirty, looks like it's been fired a lot of time, the wheel is dirty, the barrel is dirty, and the red stripe on the grip is dirty too (that's what I pissed the most), I feel like Im the 50th owner of this factory brand new. So what I did to the gun, when i got home I cleaned it like Im detailing my car, now the gun looks clean and nice. (1 star) I haven't take the gun to the range yet, Im planning to go next week if I have a chance. I chose to buy the gun from bud because my friend recommend me to and I heard a lot of good reputation from bud. I give 4 stars instead of 3 stars because of the easy transaction and very fast shipping, I will try again buying a gun from bud, hopefully I really get a perfect gun this time, If not then that will be my last gun I will ever buy from them. Don't let me down bud, I still have some faith with you :)

I ordered the Taurus...
I ordered the Taurus 500 Magnum from Buds about 2 weeks ago. I picked it up today and as usual it came filthy. Not Buds fault, just consistant with Taurus firearms. I'm VERY upset. My 50 cal has deep scratches on every part of the gun. There is a dent in the front of the barrel by the front sight about 1 inch long. It appears it's been dropped. On the right hand side, just after the wheel is a 2.5 inch buffing mark, as if someone without experience tried to buff out a scratch. This finish is a matt stainless. I wonder how long Buds has had this, cause it looks like it's been man-handled for a few years. I haven't talked to buds about this yet, as it's the weekend. Lucky for me Taurus has a 1 year warranty of the finish, but I'll have to send it to Taurus at my expense for them to make it right. It's a huge let down to get a gun from Buds in this condition as I've bought many guns from Buds before..

I ordered the Taurus...
I ordered the Taurus 500 Magnum from Buds and what a shooter it is! I take it to the range and a crowd gathers, then everybody want to shoot it! Very accurate! The recoil is not as bad as my Ruger .44 mag Blackhawk. There is nothing like shooting one of world largest handguns made! I guess it's a man thing ! Buds service can't be beat!
