Nice. lightweight,...
Nice. lightweight, accurate, and ready to take into woods. Great value for the money! Bipod a little fragile and you will need to replace, other than that....it is all good!

This was my first...
This was my first purchase through buds, and lets just say I hope it gets faster. I read a lot of reviews on how fast the shipping is through Buds, however mine took 10 days from order to pick up. Now as for the rifle, for the price and with everything you get, it is a decent rifle. The scope is better than you would think, the tripod a bit flimsy, afterall it is only plastic, and the strap is nice. Took it out today and shot 60 rounds of 308 Brown Bear 140gr. Soft Point Ammo and it did fine. I could only get 4 rounds into the internal magazine however. Overall I guess the rifle is a 4

I had been in the...
I had been in the market for a bolt rifle for a month or so, and had compared many different manufacturers trying to find not only the best deal, but the most bang for the buck. I had never purchased anything from buds before, but had read many, many good reviews and decided that I was going to use them for my next purchase regardless of what I ended up buying. After narrowing it down to a couple models, I actually stumbled onto the Mossberg 308 on buds and REALLY liked all the extras it came with (bipod, decent scope, heavy barrel, sling) over all the other brands I looked at. So I took the plunge and ordered it up. Buds processed the purchase in 3 days, and I had it in 10 days total, including weekend days. It arrived at my local FFL, which is also my local gun range, Upon initial inspection, I was pretty displeased with the rifle. The scope was loose, the picatinny rail it was mounted to was loose, the bolt assembly was really "rough" looking, and the two dust covers the rifle came with were both broken. I had a very hard time getting the bolt into the gun, and actually had the bolt assembly fall apart on me while trying to put it in the gun the first time. After getting the bolt reassembled and finally into the gun, I loaded up my first 5 rounds. The internal magazine takes some getting used to, but works fine once you get the hang of it. Mossberg claims that the scope is bore sighted to 100 yards out of the box. Yeah right. At 25 yards, my gun shot low and left about 22 inches, but hey, thats the fun of sighting in a scope. After a few quick adjustments, I had it on target, and the gun performed flawlessly. Now to bolt assembly in stock form is rather sticky. It is a bear to run, but I knew that going into my purchase from what I had read online. I put 20 rounds through the gun at the range and headed home. I spent the next couple of hours in my garage with the gun and worked out every problem I found with the rifle out of the box. Loctited every screw and bolt, dissassembled and polished every section of the bolt, and remounted the bipod and scope to be more level and true. After a little work, the rifle, in my opinion is now VERY well assembled and ready to be fired. Mossberg really needs to spend an extra 10 min in quality control with their entry level rifles. I mean its a $400 gun, but the thing barely ran out of the box, and required quite a bit of work to make it right. Now, obviously NONE of this is Buds issue. My interface with them was a absolutly perfect experience from start to finish, and I will buy from buds again in the future. So to summarize, the Mossberg is a decent value. If you like to tinker with things to make them "yours" this is a good rifle for the money. If you want to buy a gun that functions perfectly out of the box, and requires no tweaking to get perfect, this isnt the gun for you. But nothing in this price range probably is.
