Great general purpose...
Great general purpose rifle that's also a tack driver! For the price the rifle was an incredible tack driver, being very precise out of the box. A muzzle brake made it a near zero felt recoil target rifle. The flex stock is handy, I replaced mine with standard stock for a less aggressive look. The use of AR magazines is flawless, but the one that came with the rifle suffered occasional issues with feeding. No issues with third party magazines. Another minor issue is the bolt handle, it's a bit small and I don't have big hands. I also wish this model had irons, but they have other models that do so I would recommend those ones. If you just want a dedicated rifle that uses optics only then this would be fine.

This gun has no sights...
This gun has no sights so get a decent scope. Once I put a Bushnell scope on it this gun becomes very useful. While standing I put 10 shots center with a four inch spread. There is a break in period so go through the motion with no magazine in it to get the feel for cycling the bolt. This will also get any rough spots on the metal worn down and smoothed out. Put at least 500 rounds through it and you will have a very accurate rifle. Excellent quality for the price. Mossberg is a great company and this rifle is made in the USA. The flex system is nice if you want to swap out butt stocks or carry it in a smaller pelican case. This is my 100-500 yard shooter anything beyond that I would go with the 308.
