The Ruger SFAR semi-auto rifle in .308 Winchester is built on a direct-impingement platform with a 16 in cold hammer-forged barrel for reliable performance and easy mounting of accessories. It features a 15 in Lite free-float handguard with a full Picatinny rail, mid-length gas operation, and a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle for compatible muzzle devices. The rifle is finished in Black and uses a Magpul MOE SL stock with MOE grip for a comfortable, controllable hold.

This is by far one of...
This is by far one of the worst rifles I have ever had to work with and the fact it is about 1K makes it even worse. I tried really hard to like this gun because of my love for Ruger, but they dropped the ball on this one. From the very get go every time I have taken it to the range it has failed to load/eject and I've followed their recommended gas settings. The gun its self is smooth and accurate but reliability is a zero for me. I tried to swap out the bcg in an attempt to alleviate the issue problem is that Ruger made this BCG special in the sense that only theirs will work no after market and they charge 1000 for a replacement bcg. Needless to say there are far better options save yourself from this headache.
