Folks, I don't...
Folks, I don't normally post online reviews but today, I will make an exception and It is not a good one, sorry. This VR82 never worked from the very beginning. And, yes I cleaned it before taking it out on the range. It never ejected the spent casings. It never cycled two rounds in a row and as a matter of fact, it would not eject a single round and I used Fiocci 1210 fps ammo. I had to eject all rounds manually one at a time. I also cleaned it several more times in case I missed some arresting debris. I think Rock Island / Armscor has a quality control issue as this gun should have been flagged at the factory and not put on the market here in the states.. State side, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They are all full of apologies but nothing concrete . I have opened up two warranty tickets but have not heard back from them for over 4 days even though they promise a three day turn around. I have not been able to use this shotgun since taking the FFL delivery Feb. 26th. as it will not eject! First, their gas ports holes are 1/8th inch, I drilled them out to 3/16th inch. do this by increments of 1/64 inch and clean up all burrs. Next I polished all of the bolt carrier rails and any place that showed any sign of wear. (Polish off the black "bluing"). Next, put some auto polishing compound in the rail tracs in the upper. Assemble and rack cycle to use the polishing compound to polish the rails use the polish paste liberally. Do this as much as you can or until your wife ejects you from the house for being a nuisance. Clean, lubricate liberally and take to the range. You should now be able to shoot beer budget 1200fps ammo. Sorry, I don't feel this product deserves even a single star. John H Rye, NH
