I bought these for two...

I bought these for two reasons: 1) to get the ammo out of the factory cardboard packaging to reduce potential moisture contamination. 2) for saving space in ammo cans to get more ammo in them. The first aspect worked great. Sometimes I've found filling an ammo can (depending on the can quality and nature/condition of the factory packaging) you can end up doing more harm than good. These plastic containers eliminate most of those issues outright. No moisture contamination, no musty smell, just clean and dry. Another advantage is being able to stack the boxes anyway you want without having to worry about compressing the ammunition inside, as these containers are much more rigid than cardboard. As far as space-saving goes, they're kind of a wash compared to factory packaging. The boxes are narrower (side-to-side) and shorter in length, but are actually a bit taller (top-to-bottom) so they end up taking up about as much space as some of the bulky factory cardboard boxes. My only negative criticism is the slides don't snap very securely when closed so depending on how you pick a full box of these up, you might end up dumping them out as the top can come loose unexpectedly. To remedy this, I just put a small piece of scotch or masking tape where the top closes on the body of the container. Easy fix, somewhat inconvenient, but for the price I can't really complain. 4 stars from me.
