I no prior experience with Speer other than what others have told me. I feel like its going to deliver what a high end defensive ammo is going to do, to the best of its ability even in what I consider wimpy calibers.

I don't really plan to...
I don't really plan to carry my old .32 ACP Walther for defense but thought it would be nice to have a box or two of hollow point rounds on hand anyhow. After much research Gold Dots consistently were rated as top performers in the round (and are always top performers in just about other defensive round). After testing a few to make sure the rounds functioned, they seem to be a bit more powerful (stouter recoil) than a FMJ / target ammunition, impact on the backstop seemed heavier too. I don't have a way to personally test expansion and penetration but these feed and function reliably and seem to be a touch more powerful than the average .32 ACP round.
