I've now had the...

I've now had the opportunity to use this ammo in both my M&P 15-22 Sport and Springfield Saint AR15 with the CMMG .22 conversion kit platforms. I have shot 400 rounds through each weapon. Overall it is not a bad, but not necessarily, the best choice for these weapon variations. I've noticed some of the projectiles are lose and spin on the shell casings and this may be the cause of the fouls/misfires experienced during shooting. On average, it seems that between every 10th round or so (regardless if firing slow and controlled, or, fast and rapid) the ammo will misfire and you'll have to clear the round. As far as jams go, not so much an issue as both platforms relatively cycle the rounds pretty well and I have only experienced an actual jam maybe two or three times and it seemed more so, with the M&P 15-22. Performance wise, I give it an 8.5 out of 10 for accuracy. Because the projectiles are copper plated they shoot cleaner compared to the standard lead projectiles. Shooting five, 30 round mags., at 25 yards I can easily keep a .75 to 1 inch group center target, with the odd straggler hear and there (3-6 rounds), 1.5 inches away from the group on both platforms using the Vortex SPARC II red dot sight. Using my M&P 15-22, at 100 yards; with the Barska 3-9x32 scope; accuracy drops off (to be expected with .22) and I can get a 2 to 2.25 inch group, center target with 10 to 12 rounds outside center group. Given my eye sight and age, that is not bad in my book. I haven't used the CMMG conversion kit at 100 yards yet, so no data to give on that yet. I'll give these a try in my hand guns and long rifles and see how well they perform. Also, I am upgrading my M&P scope to the Vortex Crossfire II 3-9X40 V-Bright scope. I'll update my review as soon as I have given these a go. Nonetheless, if the occasional misfire doesn't bother you, this is not a bad choice. On average, I spend 8-10 hours per month; my wife, son and daughter spend 4-6 hours each; per month on the range and this can get expensive. Given the affordability of $.07 per round compared to $.39 to $2.12 per round for .223 and 5.56, I can keep my wife happy and get plenty of plinking time. "Happy Wife, Happy Life" thanks Buds!
