We had a raccoon...
We had a raccoon raiding our trash barrel as well as eating our outside dog food. I didn't want to kill him, but running him off with a stick was not working. He was coming 2-3 nights a week. I purchased these non-lethal rubber pellet shells by Sellier & Bellot and they did the trick, without killing the pesky raccoon. These shells seem to be lightly loaded with powder as the sound when fired is pretty quiet compared to regular 12 gauge shotgun shells. Not recommended for home defense!
