Here in Idaho, I hunt...
Here in Idaho, I hunt only Chukars and Huns. For the last few years I've used either the Fiocchi or Federal #5 shot loads, 1-3/8 ounce 1450 fps. Because I use B&P target loads for sporting clays which definitely have a noticeable reduction in recoil, I thought their hunting loads may have the same effect. Sure enough, they do and also pattern much better than the #5's, at least in my gun.I've seen a very big improvement in actual birds killed and or knock down power, my numbers are up substantially, with less cripple's too. These are now my 'go to" loads for Chukars and Huns from here on out. Cheers!
