When you get a MAC...
When you get a MAC 1014, they recommend a break-in period of at least 100 rounds with minimum load weight of 1 1/8 oz. and 1350 fps. With shotgun slug ammo typically costing a dollar or more per round, it's hard to find any affordable slugs. Rio comes through beautifully here with good slugs at eighty cents that slightly exceed the minimum break-in numbers. With the excellent combat sights on the gun, put in the full choke tube and zero in at 25 yards. You will have maximum fun sighting in and/or hitting small targets on the plinking range. Shooting low powered bird shot is a drag and gives misfeeds. This stuff wails away reliably and will challenge your accuracy.
