Bought this as a personal defense weapon for when a gun isn't realistic to carry. Very happy with it. Solidly built, easily concealed in a pocket and not worried about it breaking the first time it's needed. To close it, you need to really put your weight directly down on it to get it to telescope back in but I prefer that over a cheap wish.com baton. For the price, absolutely a good deal
