Deploys and locks...
Deploys and locks quickly and securely. The grip feels secure during training and practice, but, it may be a bit large in diameter for a smaller hand size. It feels balanced and hefty and so suits my style. I take long walks that take me through areas where the homeless have become numerous and have squatted in groups. I have a C&C permit and do carry, but, I prefer having a non-lethal 1st alternative for the deterrent effect and establishing a larger defensive perimeter from any aggressors. This baton was economical and made with quality from quality materials.
