Fun to shoot and functions perfectly, add a drop of oil on the cam and behind the trigger for an easier trigger pull before shooting; the trigger pull gets about 1.5 lbs lighter after 50 rounds (break-in period). Was nearly impossible to shoot with one hand due to the weight of the trigger before the 50 round break-in period. Don't dry fire, it lightly chips the selector. Be careful not to wear rings when shooting this thing to avoid scratching the powder coating. Hammer pull was around 9 lbs and trigger was 8.5 lbs after break-in period. All rounds keyhole on target, especially past 10 ft, get about 13-15" every time in 10% ballistics gel with any standard pressure FMJ. All of the rounds are manageable, pie plate accurate within 10 yards (30 ft) and recoil similar to a snub nose .38 Special revolver with wood grips. These Cobra derringers were made by International Die Cast in Gardena, CA likely made of Zamak-3 alloy which is 10.596% more durable than the blued aircraft 355 aluminum alloy Beretta Tomcat 32 ACP. Derringer barrels have stainless steel barrel inserts and heat resistant black powder coating to protect the Zamak from corrosion and melting from firing rounds. Chronographed muzzle energies with standard pressure factory 32 ACP FMJs from the derringer: Winchester 71 gr FMJ 767.38 fps 92.82 ft lbs, Fiocchi 73 gr (73.5 gr Actual) FMJ 827 fps 111.45 ft lbs, and Remington 71 gr (71.5 gr actual) 111.636 ft lbs. Don't shoot ammo hotter than Fiocchi 73 gr FMJ or Remington 71 gr FMJ. Nice back up gun.
