Nice bag, but not...
Nice bag, but not quite versatile enough for me, won't hold more than the rifle and few mags. With a Vortex Strikefire II it barely fits and the parts bang against each other with only a thin layer of nylon between them. Good bargain for the price, it's good for holding the rifle itself just not much else.

First off let me say...
First off let me say that I have made several purchases from Bud's and they are absolutely amazing. I love them and will continue to shop here and recommend them to friends. Now for this particular product, it's a disaster and I don't recommend it. This sling pack never feels secure on your back no matter how you adjust it. The top constantly flops around no matter how much you try to adjust the straps. The balance is just way off and that's just with the rifle in the bag, not ammo and range gear. Maybe mine has the straps sewn on wrong or something. I read that this actually happened to someone on another site. It might be ok for transporting your firearm from your home to your vehicle and then perhaps to the range, but it isn't something that you're going to want to wear for more than a few minutes. It's just aggravating. In fact, I have a similar type bag for my laptop computer and it doesn't fit anything like this sling pack. That bag is very secure and comfortable. I gave up wearing mine and just carry it with the top strap like a bag. Perhaps the design intent was just very short and temporary use. It's got some neat pockets that hold the firearms components securely, but that is all it has going for it. Another nuisance is the fact that the molle straps are sewn on straight so if you mount anything to them then it ends up at a /- 45 degree angle when you have the thing on your back. It makes me wonder if anyone at JRC actually tested and wore one of these things to see how bad the design actually is. I love my 45 acp carbine, but hate the strap system on this sling pack. JRC is better than this and they can fix this if they want to, see below. It should have been a backpack. They were almost there anyway with the additional strap that they had sewn on so they already had 3 attachment points. Look all they needed to do was sew 4 reinforced D rings, one on each corner and add two adjustable straps to make it a backpack. Done. I've been thinking of converting mine by just cutting off the straps, using some nylon webbing and D rings to make attachment points and then have my local cobbler/shoe repair shop sew them on for me with heavy duty thread. I'm just not sure that the quality of the materials is worth the conversion effort vs just buying something else.
