A: The only way to not be hit would be to adopt an "unnatural" grip and face positioned further back on the stock. this would make this design unfit for a left handed shooter. Just my opinion but, i would look elsewhere for shooting comfort.

A: Hi, It is still POSSIBLE to side saddle. I have seen people putting rail mount side-saddle on front rail or the top rail (which extends to the side). You can look it up. Some are more DIY side saddle. I hope this helps.

A: Jeff, This conversion kit only fits the 12 gauge Remington 870 shotgun ONLY. It will not work with a 3-1/2 inch receiver, ribbed barrel, or 18-inch barrel with rifle sights.

A: The stock probably would work, as would the pistol grip, but the barrel of a 20ga is going to have a different outer diameter then that of a 12ga and that would cause fitment issues.
