Great service and...
Great service and expedient shipping from Bud's as always! A bit disappointed with the quality control from ATI. I know they are a no frills bargain brand, but to ship out a receiver with numerous sharp nicks and gouges in the metal is pretty shoddy, especially when you include a inspector's "quality assurance" checklist in the box saying everything was as it should be. They did include an extra magazine and buffer in the box. I'm not sure if that was their way of apologizing for sticking me with a marred receiver. I have not assembled or fired it yet, so I'm hoping I don't experience the same issues listed in the other review written here on Bud's. This receiver was properly wrapped in bubble wrap and double boxed with extra packaging. The box was received in perfect condition so the damage did not occur in shipping. The receiver was packaged and boxed by ATI before Bud's was involved so the quality inspector issue is not Bud's responsibility . I will post a follow up review if I experience any performance issues when testing at the range with various loads.

ATI Omni Upper Kit 410...
ATI Omni Upper Kit 410 Ga 18.50" as usual Buds handled transaction in satisfactory manner with courtesy and professionalism. first .410 shotgun experience for me and overall was so-so. in all seriousness if you want something to shoot .410 there are a lot better ways to go than this in my opinion.. out of the box the upper plugged right into my anderson multical lower, was a good tight fit, i mean precise and tight fit. however, magazine fits way to tight and required a lot of handwork to get it to release and after about 500 rds its still a little to tight for my taste. maybe over time it will drop free when you press mag release. i bought some various recommended ammo and out of three manufactureres none cycled reliably. each time deforming the shell case so as not to be able to be refired except by hand feeding 1x1. very disapointing to say the least. i aquired a set of reloading dies for my mec and was able to reload ammo that fed like it should . this required a plate similar to a short kit for 2 3/34" to 21/2" shells of other gauges,, i find that shells of overall length of 2.25" and no longer run well on this upper combination your mileage may vary! my crimps were folded nicely and very rounded on the end feeding into chamber. the sights that came with this upper were plastic of the very lowest of cost , but they were accurate when installed out of the box , i was pleasantly surprised!. given the fact i could have bought a complete shot gun that was chambered for 21/2" and 3" shells for the same cost-- i would have to rate this .410 ar upper as nothing more than an expensive novelty. the 18.5" barrel makes it very loud, you have to hand load to get it to feed respectably due to the magazine and magwell of and ar and the length of a .410 shell , magazine is tight as a tick even with 220 sand paper being used to reduce interference.did i mention it was loud? the macuine work ,fit and finish is actually very good , i just dont think the idea of a .410 on an ar was well thought out in advance. it is fun to shoot provided you dont have any neighbors 500 yds away, you can reload so it is reliable in its cycling and have good ear protection. i hope this will help someone make a good fact based decision before laying down $ 400.00 for a novelty item
