Pretty fast shipping,...
Pretty fast shipping, although a slight hickup in Bud's needing to contact me because the shipping address was different from a previous order, but that is just protecting from loss. I can understand that. As for the upper receiver, it fits on both my AR15 lowers. The front pin goes in easy, but the rear pin is pretty stiff even with the holes lines up. This was the case on both lower receivers. Had to use a small nylon hammer to drive the rear pin through, but that is a minor issue. The rails are nice and long and I was able to mount a bipod on the bottom rail, 45 degree BUS on the top rail, and a 3-9 x42 scope on the top as well. Still plenty of space, which I covered using cheap rail ladders. The rails and upper receiver are plastic, not aluminum. It was not mislabeled, but some may automatically think that they are aluminum. One thing I did have to adjust was the free float rail. It was not tight when I received it so I screwed it on about two more revolutions and lined it up. Not sure why that was the case, but it was an easy fix. I took it out to the range and it shot the cheap Remington Golden Bullet bulk ammo without an issue. Shot about 100 rounds with 0 failure to feeds and 1 light strike which fired on the next go around. Very happy with the performance. I would expect this thing to be flawless with CCI Minimags. I broke it down for cleaning afterwards and cleanup is a snap with the bolt. Just pulled the whole unit out and sprayed down with Gunscrubber and lubed it up after it dried. Slides in the action real nice. Another thing that slightly alarmed me is that the barrel looks to be shorter than 16"...however, after further inspection, the reason is because the barrel goes further into the receiver than a .223 barrel. So it is still 16", but more of that is inside the receiver. Gives it a nice look, though. Anyway, I built the rifle for my wife and it has sparkly purple spray paint on some of the accessories. It looks pretty awesome and she loves it so that's all that matters. Would definitely do it again.
