Nice buttstock for a...
Nice buttstock for a chassis rifle. Slid it onto my AR, not so nice. Had to raise the scope to 1.750" centerline off the rail to see through it with the cheek riser at its lowest position. The stock is comfortable provides a solid cheek weld. I'd buy it again for a chassis rifle.

I purchased FAB DEF...
I purchased FAB DEF AR15 STOCK W/CHEEK REST BLK to replace the loose fitting and cheap looking original stock that came on my firearm. The Fab stock looks to be quality built and hopefully will last for many years. The stock comes with two sets of inserts. One set of inserts is for a commercial buffer tube and the other for a mil spec tube. The first thing I noticed after installing the Fab stock is how cool it looks. It fits the mil-spec tube like a well made glove (very nice). The Fab stock isn't loose like the one I replaced. The travel is smooth with no binding throughout the adjustment range. Now for the part that didn't work so well. One of the reasons I selected the Fab stock was the really nice adjustable cheek rest. Unfortunately I could not use the cheek rest on my firearm. When the cheek rest in installed, my aiming eye is too high up and I couldn't align with my scope, red dot or iron sights. It would also be nice if this stock had a bit of storage for an extra battery or Allen wrench. Now I understand why the pictures I've seen of this stock always has the cheek rest removed when installed on a firearm similar to mine. No matter, I still have a really nice stock that looks really great on my firearm. Would I purchase the Fab stock for another one of my firearms, no. I gave this product four starts because of the cheek rest I was unable to use with my firearm and no storage compartment.
