At the time of writing...
At the time of writing this review I have only had this TC receiver and stock set for about a month so as far as longevity I can not comment. I can say that as far as quality goes you can tell that TC makes a quality product from the first time you pick it up. I put an older Encore barrel that I had on this receiver and it locks up tight and functions exactly how it is supposed to. Being able to adjust the hammer spur out to the side makes it much easier to cock the hammer when you have a scope on the rifle. I love the safety reset feature on the hammer, once the gun if fired upon release of the trigger the hammer will reset to "safe" until the next time you're ready to cock the hammer. I've shot with it atleast 30 times at the range. The included recoil pad is nice. I placed a .300 win mag barrel on mine so it has a rather stiff recoil, but that is to be expected right? Overall the gun is a pleasure to shoot and I assume it will be a pleasure to carry through the woods due to the ergonomics of the rifle and the size. I'm using a 26" barrel and it is more compact than my 30-06 with a 22" barrel. So depending upon the barrel of your choosing you will have a compact rifle.
