I was initially...
I was initially looking for a different base plate for my Gen 1 9mm magazines when I ran across the PEARCE PG-MPS+ MAG GRIP EXT SW SHIELD 2.0; I wasn't sure if these would work on my Gen 1 Sheild magazines but I thought I'd take a chance... worst case scenario is I end but buying a Shield 2.0 pistol. I installed these on 3 former 7 round magazines and tested them out over the weekend, they worked flawlessly (200+ rounds) on my Gen 1 magazines. I appreciate the extra length they give the pistol making it easier to get a full handgrip on it and having the added round capacity meant more shooting between having to reload the magazines. NOTE: Installing these on an 8 round magazine will leave a gap in the grip as those mags are slightly longer; I know... I've seen me do it.

These work great to...
These work great to turn a 7 round mag into an 8.I like it better than the 8 round mag that comes with it because it givea you a bit more length for grip but is actually lighter than the factory 8 round mag.. It will hold 9 but can only be inserted into gun with slide open. I haven't had any issue cycling with these, put about 300 rounds though so far. Good product for the money.

The mag extensions fit...
The mag extensions fit the M&P 7 round mags very well. Very quick install. I prefer the Pearce extensions over the factory 8 round extension for my large hands.
