ordered the lyman tang...

ordered the lyman tang sight and it looks good but it's for 94 model-says it fits a 1890 model but the screws are to fat to fit the 1890 model.

A: no you need this one 579-009-807WB Rossi 92 Tang Sight Rear Sight Black Mfr Part: 009807 SPECS: Steel, blued. Older guns may require drilling and tapping. Includes (2) ½" diameter apertures: .055" (1.4mm) and .102" (2.6mm) size holes, and (1) ¾" diameter aperture with .032" (.81mm) hole. Savage 99 will not fit late rifles with top safety. Late rifles with safety at trigger will require drilling and tapping. Mounting screw sets sold separately.
