The color is black....
The color is black. The leather is good quality and very well molded to the "Governor". The leather is less thick than I had hoped. It holds the gun very tightly. The flaps of leather behind the cylinder hold the gun in the scabbard very snuggly. This holster should not be called a "speed" scabbard, because even with a careful break in, it will never allow a "speed" draw with out cutting those dimple looking flaps completely off. I don't recommend it for a self defense holster, but works great for my use as a "snake" sidearm holster.
