This is my second GI...
This is my second GI Tanto. Like all Cold Steel knives, its blade is razor sharp. The blade is approximately 1/8" thick, considerably thicker than most knives. The guard is substantial and will keep your hand from sliding onto the blade. The blade is full tang. The 1055 carbon steel make sharpening easier than harder steels. The sheath is made of a rugged plastic material is functional. The only downside is that the polypropylene handle is a bit slick especially if it gets wet. I remedied that by using a soldering iron to create many small grooves in the handle which vastly improved its grip. I've collected many Cold Steel knives over the years and have never had a problem with any of them. This particular knife is a good value for its low price.

Been a edged weapon...
Been a edged weapon collector since I was a kid, and believe you me, I have a wide range of knives and swords. When I first saw this knife made by Cold Steel, I thought it was a misprint on the price... glad I was wrong. This is one of the best budget knives I have ever bought, good size, fits my hand perfectly and I just love tanto blades, and especially with the black finish. Not to forget the sheath, holds it firmly especially for my cross chest application. Great job Buds, now... lets get that Henry 45-70 side gate back in stock.
