These Crimson Trace Laser Grips are user and family security friendly. I've given up on night sights not just because they've faded over the years, but because laser sights easily and quickly acquire a target in limited lighting conditions. Crimson Trace Laser Grips are they only lasers that I use with 100% confidence after being disappointed with another manufacturer's product. I'd tried an expensive guide rod laser product on a semi auto and found that the weapon didn't cycle properly as it had with factory parts. I returned that guide rod laser to the other distributor for a refund and put Crimson Trace Laser Grips on that semi auto and have had no issues. The Crimson Trace Laser Grips that I've installed have been easy to install on revolvers as well. I bought these "beefier" Laser Grips for a 2-1/2", S&W 686, that I bought recently. I've found Crimson Trace Laser Grips beam to be zeroed in at the factory with no adjustments needed, 99.9% of the time. Crimson Trace also offers free batteries for life with all of their products. I have yet to find a standard holster that will not secure a weapon properly with Laser Grips installed. With all of my Pros, the Cons that I've found are: they don't work fantastically outdoors during daylight and a high finger index can block the beam. If I wasn't retired, I'd have Laser Grips on an agency issued duty weapon today.
