Item was purchased for a patrol rifle. Overall construction has exceeded expectations. Performance is outstanding. The remote/pressure switch functions with out any issues. My friends are ordering the same model number for their own patrol rifles and or the model I ordered for my wife's patrol rifle. Before this they were running Surefire weapon lights. You can purchase three of these type units for the price of one surefire weapon light. The Stream light excels in the following categories. Brightness (high LED output) Durability (well constructed) Functionality (it works in all modes and with all primary and secondary activation methods) Flexibility (can be placed on a rifle or pistol) Projection (both units have a strobe function and the pattern varies on the model) The weather seals (O-rings) are effective at keeping the moisture out of the unit, however you should always apply a thin layer of a petroleum based lubricant to ensure the seals do not crack. The additional end cap also gives you further mobility when mounting the unit. The only thing I would note is that the unit will not mount with a MAGPUL AFG in certain positions. if you order the MAGPUL AFG 2 will not encounter this issue. The remote wire will tidy up with MAGPUL two piece panels and one small zip tie (not required) but I like things looking clean and snappy. When placing the remote wire into the panel wire retainers, use a pencil or thin piece of wood. Do not go metal on metal like I did and nick up the rail.
