I had a couple X300Us...
I had a couple X300Us laying around so I decided to try it. The X300u is 500 lumens, so no need to buy a scout light. It works great. Easy to install. The presume pad has tie down slots built in and it is a good thing because it fits less than snug on the rail. Nothing a little 550 parachute cord can't fix.
