I received the 5 mags...

I received the 5 mags I ordered in a decent amount of time. The packages were labeled Magnum Research 13 round .40 cal poly base magazine.... but they don't hold 13 rounds. After struggling to get the 10th round in (by hand - the follower really, REALLY sticks, & w/ my Caldwell was better but had to load the first 2 rounds by hand, then the next 8 went in fine on 4 of the mags). Another round over 10 will not fit. I often read of people complaining about magazines that don't hold the stated amount of rounds. Now I know this to be true. The magazines from my other 8 guns don't have this issue. Some are tight, but not impossible & defying the laws of physics. At the range, I had a 50% failure to feed rate with these Baby Eagle mags! I removed the base plate, spring, & follower, & loaded 13 rounds from the bottom... just out of curiosity. Then I replaced the follower. It sticks out the bottom 1/4-3/8 of an inch. So how can this be a 13 rounder? No spring reinserted, no way to reinstall the base plate w/ 13 rounds in the mag. Well, 13 rounds is a selling point for me, but not the end of the world. The mags I got hold 10 but are labeled 13. ~sigh~ Then I tried shooting my Baby Eagle again after I took all the mags apart & worked them, lubed them, worked them more... appx 30 min per magazine. Still had a 50% failure to feed rate. VERY unacceptable! I don't get it. They look like originals but don't work worth a crap. Or is it my gun? Sorely disappointed because the original 2 mags I got w/ the gun didn't work either, nor can 13 rounds fit. I don't really blame Buds because they may not have tested the mags, rather Magnum Research. I thought these were supposed to be upper tier quality. I plan on working the mags a lot more & following up on this review.
