The polymer magazine...

The polymer magazine supplied (one) with Rossi's .22 WMR rifle is extremely easy to load. Its exterior has protruding tabs on either side you simply press down on to load the ammunition. Then ensure you have the ammunition heading in the correct direction and you're good to go. Now for what is extremely not understandable about this magazine. It is long enough to likely contain 20 rounds. How many are you able to load, 10, that's it, no more! For a polymer magazine where you can easily see the follower mechanism (can't call it a spring cuz I'm not sure it is), and the follower does not go completely to the bottom of the magazine, I mean come on Rossi that's very ridiculous, really! As for the functionality of the magazine: it engages the rifle's magazine port the same way a Ruger 10/22's magazines does, it clicks into place and is locked. The magazine feeds well, no hang ups. When the magazine is empty a simple pull of the rifle's magazine release lever removes it. Since I've not used this magazine but a few times I'm unable to comment on its robust strength, or not!
