I bought a Ruger...
I bought a Ruger American Gen II .308 20", and it came with a 3 round clip. I'm fine with that, but while waiting picked up the PMAG 5 round, and Ruger 10 Round. The Ruger 5 round is hard to find, so thus the PMAG 5 round. I find the 3 round clip has to be slapped into place and almost requires 2 hands to insert and remove. It's so small it's fiddly. The PMAG 5 round won't even clip in with the bolt closed. I don't like that. I slapped it really hard, so it must require some alteration. The Ruger 10 Round is bigger than the PMAG 5 round, but not by much. With the Ruger 10, I can one hand click it and and remove due to the extra grip space. Doesn't matter if bolt is closed or not. Honestly, I wish I had never bought the PMAG 5 for this situation. The Ruger 10 seems better and is so easy to manipulate from an ergonomic stand point, I think my Ruger American 308 is just going to fly with it. I only bought my Ruger 308 for hunting, but honestly with the 10 round clip, I can slap that place in quickly and be ready for defense. I was fine with a 3 Rd clip, but it's good if you start out from home with it. I'd scare deer away with it trying to fiddle with it. 10 Round clip was just so easy to work with with my hand size that I don't think I'll ever use any of the rest.
