Makes for easier...

Makes for easier loading of stuff the semi-auto mags simply won't run reliably so those ammo types have to be used in single-shot mode if at all.

A: Daryl, maybe as a "Training" Tool? Build the discipline and accuracy first of a beginner is what comes to mind. I was started on a "Single Shot" myself. Cheers!

A: when I start new shooters I like to only allow them to load 1 round in the magazine. I have seen to many people who have never shot freak out the 1st time. with the single shot if the wave the gun around after shooting I can calmly correct them and explain the proper procedures if they have a loaded gun I am not so calm this mag ensure that safety drill

A: The single shot magazine is listed as ideal for training on the Ruger site. However some of the local clubs in our area allow the 10-22 with the single shot magazines to compete with the single shot bolt rifles. The red magazine helps every one know that it can only be used as a single shot.
