As expected, factory...
As expected, factory magazines holding 6 rounds. They are a bit stiff and when fully loaded are a bit of a challenge to seat in the gun without having the slide back. I find that I prefer to carry the flush fit 6 round mag, but I can only barely get all three fingers on the grip. Be warned, if you are doing this, after the 3rd or 4th shot your pinky will slip from the bottom of the grip/mag plate. Its too slippery to do otherwise even though the 2.0 texture is fairly excellent to maintaining control of the weapon. Just my opinion, I have the Shield 1.0 and the Shield Plus also, the 1.0 has no "stick-to-it-of-ness in the hand, the Plus in my opinion is more aggressive then the 2.0 in texture and since I carry both IWB that can be a bit of a challenge. Back to the magazines, buy the Pearce finger extensions for the 6-rnd magazines, you will not regret it, and the control of the gun vastly improves. I will be back to buy a couple more 6 rnd and 7 rnd (or as Smith calls it 6 plus 1). I just cannot get over the hurdle right now of only having 6 1 (or 7 1) in my CCW and maybe 12 in back-up in my pockets, whereas with the Plus I have 10 1 and 23 in back-up magazines.
