Be aware of what you...
Be aware of what you are purchasing. Not blaming Bud's or MI but this mount isn't the one I need to install my optic a Vortex Sparc. Love the internet pricing but if you are an amateur like myself it is time consuming and frustrating. This mount doesn't have the Pic rail. Personally think it needs to be advertised a little better since 90% of us have Pic rail accessories. Lesson learned on my part and shipping and price was great. Thanks

Purchased this sight...
Purchased this sight mount to install a Primary Arms red dot sight on a Kel Tec Sub2000 Gen 2 .40 carbine. The sight mount manufacturer's website advertises that this sight mount will work with this brand of red dot sights. Well, almost but not quite. The problem is that to install the red dot sight on the mount, the Picatinny rail that comes with the sight must be removed so that the base of the sight is screwed to the base of the mount. This configuration causes the on/off and brightness control wheel on the sight to contact the sight mount, making it impossible to turn on or change the brightness of the sight. This problem is acknowledged by the sight mount manufacturer by including four washers to use with the installation, but even with these washers installed between the base of the sight and the base of the mount, not enough clearance was provided to be able to move the brightness wheel. That's a significant drawback for a relatively expensive sight mount. The only way I could get this to work was to use a Dremel tool to grind a relief in the sight mount to provide clearance for the brightness wheel. That worked, but I wasn't at all happy about having to grind down this sight mount to make the configuration work.The sight mount looks like crap now. Keep this in mind if you are planning on using this sight mount/sight combination on your Kel Tec Sub2000 Gen 2. You'll need to do a little modifying to make it work. Shipping was fast, communication was good so the purchase part of this process was OK. The installation part, not so much.
