Yes, there are cheaper...
Yes, there are cheaper holographic sights out there, but you get what you pay for. I like the EoTechs because it's one of the few holographic sights available with a 1 MOA dot. One drawback is it's long and takes up a lot of rail space, but that's a trade-off I'm willing to make in exchange for using AA batteries, which are plentiful, cheap, and available in rechargeable versions unlike the weirdo sizes. Easy to mount, easy to adjust, and made for your .308 platform.
