A: Yes the Romeo 3 will mount to a full size 1911 you will either need a dovetail optics mounting plate (dovetail mounts are not ideal) with a romeo1 footprint. Or you'll need to have the slide milled to accept an optic with a romeo1 footprint. The slide milling cost a little more but is a much more solid system plus you don't lose your rear back up iron sights. Id look into Primary Machine or Jaegerworks for slide milling
