This is a waste of money as it is very poorly thought out. The chief complaint is that it requires both hands to engage and disengage. It DOES NOT allow you to clip it onto your belt nor insert it under your pants beltline. You have to TAKE OFF your belt, and thread the belt into the slot sewed onto the holster for it to be attached to you. Also, it has cloth snaps that wraps around the back of the mace gun, to prevent the mace gun from falling out, I presume, which also requires BOTH HANDS to snap and unsnap. If you suspect you might need quick access to your mace gun (under worrisome situations), then you would need to unsnap it before then, and the snaps then flop around making a nuisance of themselves. If it came with a semi-rigid holster flap that could be tucked under the belt (without having to remove your belt and threading it into the slot), then I'd just cut off these restraining snaps as they just get in the way. I will NOT be using this ever, unless I am sure I'll be confined to my own back yard, in which case I'll cut off the restraining snaps and go around with it permanently threaded to the belt. Were I to thread it under my belt to go shopping, or to any public place, then I wouldn't be able to easily remove the holster before entering a safe location, and, even if I removed the mace gun and went in with an empty holster, that would draw attention to me as it sticks out and some policeman might think I am tottin' a gun. In other words, they needed to make this to where you could, with ONE HAND, remove it from your person for those situations where it would be out of place. If I could have seen it before making the purchase, or, if they would have given a better description and photos (showing NO FLAP which could be tucked under your belt without needing to be threaded), then I would NOT have bought it (one of the perils of online shopping). I will still use (and carry) the mace gun, but I'll just take it with me bare tucked under my belt, and that way I can just remove it while in the car when I am at places where it isn't needed.
