A: Yes this gun is a rimfire. All 22 guns are rimfire. What HV means is high velocity. What that means is that this gun needs high velocity ammo to operate correct. Regular 22 ammo will work, but will jam as well, so it is nor reccomended. Hope this helps

A: its the same gun I have never had any slide issues with the Mosquito in 1000s of rounds. the main issue I could find was a rough fit that needed some smoothing out to function well but like almost all 22lr handguns they are ammo picky

A: Raymond, The 4″ steel barrel of the Firefly is threaded (M9 x . 75 pitch) although to use most suppressors you would need to use an adaptor to attach it to the gun.
