Nice gun. Have owned...
Nice gun. Have owned the Beretta PX4 Inox for 7 years, still love it. The fit and finish is very nice. The function and feel is of a quality instrument or tool. I can tell you it functions better after about 500 rounds and some wearing in. Not that I had any ftf or fte's before the first 500 rounds. The gun just got smoother. It is accurate enough for me with the 4" barrel. This was my first handgun purchase (Thanks Buds!!) and I did research a lot of potential suiters before landing on this Beretta. Go ahead, pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed. Tell 'em Jeffro sent ya!

Very accurate pistol....
Very accurate pistol. No issues with any of the different cartridges I fed it. extremely happy with this purchase. Took a little longer than anticipated to receive, but that was in part due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

I am new to pistol...
I am new to pistol shooting so I tried a number of handguns at the range. I found the PX4 storm to be very manageable. I am a bit out of shape and not very strong handed or armed. So in trying most handguns I had trouble with the recoil. Many told me to start with a 22 and work up, but after shooting the PX4 I found the recoil of the 9mm to be about that of a 22. I have been shooting with it for about two months and have had no difficulties with it at all. The pistol shooting class I am taking put me thru the basic and advanced tactics. I have shot multiple brands of ammo thru it and found that Fioocchi (sp??) hollow point has trouble feeding thru but with a little manipulation it shoots ok just would not use it as a self defense round. My hands are average for a man (I take a large to xlarge glove size, but I have trouble getting my thumb up and back far enough to release the safety without contorting my hand to a less than secure single handed grip. The mag release is the same; it takes a bit of effort to get my thumb over to it. That being said if I use my non dominant hand to release the safety or mag I think it was a great purchase. The instructors in the shooting class think I should have chosen one that I can manipulate one handed though, so keep this in mind before you purchase. I would recommend highly recommend this as starter gun because the safety is very visible (red is dead), it is easy to rack (to see if its loaded) and lock the slide for someone who is not that strong handed and the felt recoil is very manageable. It is also easy to tear down and clean - just go to youtube for some great how to help. Good luck shooting!
