A: Darryl, It is a DAO handgun. Before you purchase one, let me tell you of my and a fellow co-workers experience with this gun. We both bought one within a month of each other and had nothing but problems with it. We both sent them in to Bersa authorized repair facilities (mine twice, my co-worker 3 times) but they never could make them right, We both went to YouTube and tried all of the suggested fixes to no avail. Although many folks have had good luck with this handgun, just as many have had problems. My suggestion is to look at some other .380s on Buds. It may cost you a few dollars more but it well worth it in terms of reliability and peace of mind that it will work when needed.
