A: Canik makes pretty nice pistols and Aimpoint makes excellent sights. If you want it then I don't think it's a waste. Though, Aimpoint sights are generally intended to be quite rugged and indestructible to an extent that might be excessive if its intended use is just for a range gun. Other cheaper options might be easier to justify. Also, I'm not aware of Aimpoint product with a green dot, only red.

A: only you can answer that question. If you like optics it will be a fine combo. I dont like optics on my handguns. I did try them on some of my handguns and took them off

Target, self-defense, competition etc. I own Glocks, S&W's, Beretta's and a plethora of other big brands but, my many Caniks hang in there with the best of them in every aspect. A: There are compliant magazines. Bud's won't swap those out with the restricted mags though. Bud's will ship the firearm without the magazines. You'll need to purchase the "legal" magazines for your state on your own.
