First off ... another flawless transaction with Bud's. Thank you for your continued excellent service. Secondly ... thank you Dan Wesson for indeed producing the finest production 1911 pattern pistols ... period. 34 years carrying the 1911 and I see no reason to to spend twice the amount for custom names when DW offers up any configuration a profession or ccw would want or need. Have sent 590 rounds down range through this Specialist Commander without a hick-up. Do note this configuration requires a custom holster. Another satisfactory transaction / purchase.

I bought this pistol...
I bought this pistol six months ago and have waited to review it because, as nicely fit as it is it has been totally unreliable. The manual specifies a 300-500 round break in period and I am now at 675 rounds through it. In the last 50 rounds I have 6 failures to lock back on empty and 2 failures to feed. I have tried three brands of hardball as well as Federal Hydra-Shok. As stated above the pistol is as beautifully put together as a Colt Special Combat Government I also own but the Colt, which I've owned for at least ten years, has been reliable from day one, as have been four others Colts I've bought. I will send it back for service next week and expect they will make it right but for this expensive of a pistol reliability should be a given
