This is truly one of the best pistols on the market...period! After replacing the thin G10 carry grips with thicker G10 orange and black ones to accommodate my large hands, this is as beautiful as it is accurate...and it is very, very accurate! It is extremely well made and feels just as tight as any custom made pistol! Buds made this transaction quick and painless!

The most beautiful gun...
The most beautiful gun i own. This thing just screams quality built. Bud's really came through on this one...its not an easy 1911 to find. I literally could not be ANY happier with this, and it instantly turned me into a HUGE Dan Wesson fan. The slide feels like its skating on ice, trigger is great, and fit and finish is top notch. When i was at my FFL to do the transfer, i had plenty of time while waiting on the paperwork to get all different kinds of 1911s in my hands (kimber, colt, les baer, nighthawk, and cabot)... cabot is the best feel, but suuuuuper tight (almost too tight, imo), kimber and colt felt basically the same to me, and nighthawk and les baer feel the same to me also. When comparing this dan wesson to the les baer and nighthawk, i see no difference at all that justifies a doubled price tag for the lowest in the line of either of those 2 brands. The fit and finish on mine is amazing and easily the same as those higher end guns. I dont wanna over sell this thing to anyone who is on the fence about it, but put it this way, i would buy another one without even blinking. And i will 100% be buying another dan wesson asap. Two thumbs way up in the air.

Soft shooting in 9mm--...
Soft shooting in 9mm--I can shoot this all day long. Put 500 rounds through it to break it in and it performed as expected: reliably. Second handgun I've bought through Bud's and it has been very pleasant so far!
