I finally got a chance...
I finally got a chance to take my new FMK 9C1 G2 9mm (CA compliant) to the range today. It packs a wallop. Accuracy is decent. Feels fantastic in my medium-sized hands. Glock grips have always felt too large and blocky, but this feels perfect. Trigger pull is an eternity though. Takes a couple dozen rounds to get used to. Trigger weight isn't terrible but could be lighter. As this is the CA Compliant, I am stuck with the Double Action Only Trigger, which as I understand there is a better one they offer. I don't think it's legal in CA though. It fed 100 rounds flawlessly, but as I hurried the last few clips in quick succession because I had to get going, I had 3 FTEs in 20 rds. I can tentatively attribute this to a super hot barrel and the cheap & dirty Herters ammo I was using since I had just put 100 rounds through it and it was getting a bit grimey. After a good cleaning and another trip to the range, we shall see if those were a fluke. As others have said, the magazine release must be pressed in extra far, and the mag needs to be pulled as it doesn't fall free on it's own. But not a deal breaker. It uses glock sights so it has the sight dovetail machined into the slide, so I got an adapter plate and a budget red dot sight. Initially it worked very well after zeroing at 10 yds. After 50 or so rounds, the adapter plate worked loose (I probably didn't tighten it down enough), but after cinching it down, the dovetail partially released the adapter plate, putting the sight at a canted up angle, making the red dot useless. Likely an adapter issue, but could possibly be due to the machining of the dovetail. I will see what can be done, but all in all, I am pretty impressed. At $265, I think it's a great value.

Seems to be a legit...
Seems to be a legit gun eventho I was skeptical. It feels heavier that in actually is. Mag is a bit tight on release but may loosen over time.

Just picked up my FMK...
Just picked up my FMK 9C1G2 last Saturday. It is the CA approved model. 2 10 round mags, mag disconnect safety and the mags will not drop free. You have to pull them out after hitting the release button. It also has the DAO trigger. So its just like a revolver. The trigger cocks the striker and releases it all in one (hecka long) trigger pull. I knew it had all those (make the gun useless) features when I bought it. Its all black with no Bill of Rights Righting on it. Which is the style I wanted. The finish on the slide wares easy. I already have marks on the side I lay on the table and by the rear sight from when I swapped the U for the 2 dot (It comes with both!). Functionality: Put 300 rounds of Estate 115 grain FMJ 9mm through it. 3 Malfunctions during that time. 2 FTE (I believe that's because I limp wrested it) 1 FTF (Light primer strike. Cool thing about the DAO trigger is I just pulled the trigger again, and again. It went bang on the 3rd pull.) Over all, Its a Glock like firing mechanism. Full disassembly requires punching 3 pins. winch is great and easy. It looks like a Walther from the back and an H&K from the front. Top it all off that its made in my home state and its only 350 bucks. Its my new trunk gun. If your looking for a first time poly frame pistol that you don't mind beating up. Or you just want another gun. This is the gun for you.
