Well, where should I...
Well, where should I begin..? This review is in no way intended to reflect negatively on Buds; they were, as always, fantastic. Best price, fast shipping, and great communication the whole way through. I've made many purchases with BGS and they have always delivered. That being said, I have some issues with this particular firearm. The overall finish is flawless, fitment is tight, and it ate up everything I put in it. Problems arose when the slide was failing to lock back on nearly every last round, and on a few occasions the mag was jammed and had to be forced out from the top. It would lock back consistently if an empty mag was inserted and the slide pulled back. Upon stripping and cleaning, and as I was looking a little more closely at everything, I started to notice other flaws. The trigger bow and the mag release both look like they need refinement. I also noticed that the grip scales were crooked, with a little bit of the bottom of the scale hanging past the bottom of the frame. Tried several other scales that I already had from my Ultra Carry II, and they all lined up off kilter, so I know it wasn't the scales themselves, which was my initial thought(or hope). Honing of small parts isn't as much of an issue to me as the grips being misaligned, however, on a gun in this price range, I expected a lot more. I contacted Fusion and laid out my concerns, and they replied fairly quickly. They only offered to send a replacement slide lock and never even addressed the other concerns raised. Almost like they know about and don't want to own up to it, or perhaps they are so busy answering calls and emails about other issues from other customers. Either way, I had much higher expectations for this Bantam-R, and unfortunately, reality has me feeling hornswoggled. I would highly recommend buying in person so you can take a real long, close look at what your are buying to make sure you don't end up like me. Again, not a reflection on Buds, I have bought many firearms from them over the years and they have all been fantastic. I guess I was bound to buy a lemon eventually. I have several 1911's and none of them have given a single problem out of the box. All this leads me not be able to recommend Fusion Firearms to anyone. Questionable production, lacking in customer service. My $850 life lesson learned.

The gun looked great...
The gun looked great till I went to the range and the front sight came off, the grips came lose, the slide stop was sloppy and moving all over, the thumb safety was so lose that it was no safety at all and the beaver tail was so sensitive that I literally had to barely touch with my fingers.\\r\ I called customer service and I got a returned call 3 days later, and they did not seem too concerned about the poor quality control, and somehow I just don't get it how you shouldn't be more concerned about the poor quality control.\\r\ I ordered parts from Wilson combat and basically I am having to replace all the small parts, and fix it myself, never again will I make the mistake to buy another Fusion pistol.\\r\ The fact that the owner was a Dan Wesson engineer does not mean that they make Dan Wesson quality parts, I was fooled!\\r\ Rock island is less expensive and superior quality!
