The H&K VP40 is my...
The H&K VP40 is my first striker fire handgun and my first experience in the realm of striker fire. The different grip inserts allowed for minor adjustments to fit my hand just right. Being that I practice both right and left hand shooting, I really like the ambidextrous slide release and the option to switch the mag release to one side or the other. I have found that I can operate the mag release easily right or left handed at its default location on the left side of the frame, so switching to the right may not be necessary.\r As someone that has always preferred handguns with external hammers, I am very happy with the purchase of the H&K VP40. Everything about this firearm suits me well.

When I started looking...
When I started looking for a .40 cal, one of the requirements was ambidextrous controls. I did quite a bit of research; watching videos and reading articles. The one thing that jumped out at me was how almost everything I watched or read, commented on H&K quality.\r \r The buying and shipping process with Bud's was quick and easy. When I picked up the VP 40 at my FFL, I was shocked about how well balanced it felt. I took it apart and you could see that it was a well made firearm. Honestly, I am a Glock...
Honestly, I am a Glock lover to the fullest. However, I absolutely love this firearm! This VP 40 is light and feels great while shooting. The VP 40 will hit whatever target you aim it towards. Also, feels good while carrying on my hip.
