I really like this...
I really like this 1911 compact Iver Johnson Thrasher .45. It has a solid feel, nice weight, and a nice blued finish. I do have an issue with the quality of the finish on the barrel itself that my pistol came with. It also has a ding in one of the front end serrations of the slide of the specific pistol I received. I also suggest keeping it highly oiled when in storage to keep it from rusting. Otherwise the pistol has very little play in the mag well that most pistols seem to have that I have tested when shaking the firearm from side to side and up and down. The Iver Johnson thrasher .45 has a nice action and stays open after the last round has been expended. Needs a break in period and proper lubrication and it cycles hollow points properly . Overall I am happy with the quality other than the 2 issues I stated above.

The Iver Johnson Thrasher .45 Auto, is a very nice gun for the money. The photo of the gun. doesn't do it justice. It is a nicely finished piece. The pistol arrived with a lot of packing grease. I took it home and thoroughly cleaned it. I took the gun to the range and put 100 rounds through it. It worked flawlessly . No stove pipes or failure to feed. I fired at my target from 21 feet, 230 grain hard ball. I achieved 3 inch groups. I am hoping this will improve with practice and gun break in. I am very satisfied with this pistol! Buds gun shop is the best.
