The Keltec PLR-16 is a gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 5.56 NATO, designed for silhouette shooting with rifle-like handling and ergonomics. It features a long-stroke gas piston system with Johnson/Stoner-style breech locking, an integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for accessories and optics, and iron sights with adjustable windage and elevation. Built around high-impact glass fiber reinforced polymer components, the PLR-16 pairs a 9.2-inch barrel with a 1/2-28 TPI threaded muzzle for common muzzle devices.
